We partnered with Regina Trades & Skills Centre to provide a new roof for the Deschamps, a deserving family of five with only one income.
Michelle Deschamps suffers from a rare neurological disorder, called Charcot-Marie-Tooth, that, among other symptoms, causes nerve damage and foot deformities.
After Michelle’s last foot surgery in October, her husband John dodged a drunk driver while driving back to the hospital which left their van totalled. Michelle and John, whose house was in need of a new roof and renovations to make it wheelchair accessible, were forced to spend their savings on a new vehicle.
On April 27th, Regina Trades & Skills Centre students installed the family’s new roof. Thanks to our partners GAF for providing the shingles and Shoemaker Drywall Supplies for providing the rooftop delivery. We provided the vents, underlayment, and drip edge.
At Wheatland, we take pride in our commitment to social responsibility and are grateful to give back to Regina families and communities.
